  • Gain knowledge of how adolescents experience and cope with grief
  • Learn how to support young people using a rights-based approach
  • Develop skills for having compassionate conversations
  • Learn about sudden and violent deaths and their impact on the grieving process

This is a potentially distressing topic and staff should be provided with supports to sustain their own wellbeing, as required.  The resource has a section about self-care for practitioners with tools to scaffold reflection and development of self-care practices.
